‘We could open up the gates and none of them would go away.” says Marsha Adamson about the horses who live at beautiful Oak Canyon Equestrian Center. The Center is located in beautifully secluded Wildwood Canyon, five minutes from town in a safe, private area.
“This is one of the nicest places to have a horse,” Says Marsha.
The shade of the many oak trees, constant breezes and a gated community make this particular barn the best-kept secret in Santa Clarita. Marsha Adamson, who has been in the ranching business for 35 years, manages the property, while her daughter Carrie handles all of the training for both horses and riders. The Adamsons live and provide all the services that students and borders need.
The top-notch facility is proud to maintain a family environment, which includes a first-class Summer Camp program for kids of all riding abilities and ages.
Oak Canyon Equestrian has a knack for spoiling their horses too. Boarders will be impressed by the gorgeous 32-horse barn, oak tree-covered outside paddocks, in and outs, 12-foot by 24-foot covered pipe corrals, hot and cold bathing racks and so much more. The miles and miles of trails through Santa Clarita and beyond are also a selling point for the facility. Customized feeding programs, a limitless menu of services and the gated community make Oak Canyon Equestrian Center a boarder’s dream come true.
Marsha and Carrie are both proud to have a rare addition to the property: a main arena with shredded rubber footing.
Marsha explains, “It’s like the horses are wearing tennis shoes. There are only two rings of its kind in Southern California.”
